Filing and shaping services can create airborne particles, while some nail products release vapors. A filter intended to capture particles does not automatically remove gases or organic vapors. Local exhaust ventilation is designed to capture contaminants close to where they are generated, before they spread into a worker's breathing zone. A ceiling fan can redistribute air but does not by itself demonstrate contaminant removal.
Keep product containers closed when not dispensing them; maintain ventilated tables and the room's exhaust system as instructed. Product odor may prompt investigation but it does not establish an exposure concentration or prove that a workspace is safe. Ventilation design, filter selection, maintenance, and any exposure monitoring require appropriate expertise.
An N95 is a particulate respirator, not a chemical vapor cartridge. A good face seal does not change that limitation. If a respirator is required at work, the employer must evaluate hazards and meet applicable OSHA respiratory protection requirements. Do not substitute improvised mask combinations for engineering controls.

Salon scenario
A worker notices persistent solvent odor while a desk dust collector is operating. Rather than spraying fragrance, the salon checks whether local exhaust suitable for the vapor source is working and requests professional evaluation if needed.
