Artificial nail systems often involve reactive ingredients that transform during application. A cured coating and the uncured chemical materials used to form it are not identical from an exposure perspective. FDA explains that traces of reactive methacrylate monomers may remain after artificial nails form and can cause adverse reactions in sensitized individuals.

A person who has become sensitized may experience redness, swelling or pain associated with exposure. These symptoms do not prove a particular diagnosis. Avoid unnecessary product contact with surrounding skin, and follow the exact manufacturer's directions and precautions.

Scenario A: uncured liquid touches the client's nail fold during repeated applications. The technician should improve placement, protect surrounding skin, and stop contact if irritation develops rather than assume that any nail product is harmless once cured.

Scenario B: someone says that methyl methacrylate (MMA) is federally banned in every nail cosmetic. Avoid that overstatement. FDA describes historical enforcement actions against products with 100% MMA monomer and notes that there is not a regulation specifically prohibiting MMA monomer in cosmetic products. State licensing rules may impose additional restrictions and must be checked separately.

Scenario C: a supplier says a product is 'safe for everyone' because the monomer is commonly used in salons. Broad marketing claims do not replace ingredient identification, exposure controls, or attention to individual sensitivities. Do not suggest diagnosing an allergy or continuing a service over irritated tissue.

A responsible answer separates general FDA cosmetic safety information from state-law questions. Product compatibility, curing, removal and skin contact precautions remain system-specific.

Tình huống A: liquid chưa đóng rắn nhiều lần chạm nếp móng.

Knowledge checks — with model answers

  1. Can reactive monomer residues matter after artificial nail formation?

Answer: Yes, FDA notes possible reactions in sensitized individuals.

  1. Does FDA say every cosmetic use of MMA monomer is categorically prohibited by one regulation?

Answer: No.

  1. Can a nail technician diagnose allergy from redness alone?

Answer: No.

TIẾNG VIỆT · BẢN DỊCH
  3. Có thể chẩn đoán dị ứng chỉ từ đỏ da không? Không.
