Learning Objectives
Understand safe salon practice, recognize the boundaries of general safety guidance and apply the correct source to each workplace decision.
Hiểu thao tác an toàn tại salon, phân biệt kiến thức an toàn chung với quy định bang và sử dụng đúng nguồn cho từng quyết định.
Core Lesson
Cleaning removes visible soil and product residue. Disinfection is a separate process using a suitable product according to its label. Residue may interfere with the disinfectant reaching the surface, so applying a chemical to an unclean implement can undermine the process.
Separate single-use articles from reusable implements. Discard single-use items according to applicable rules. For reusable items, follow the state board’s requirements, the tool manufacturer’s directions and the disinfectant product label. Different materials and devices may require different reprocessing methods.
Salon Scenario
A worker sprays disinfectant onto a visibly dusty tool and immediately stores it. The tool has not been properly cleaned and the required disinfectant contact time has not been established. Reprocess it according to the applicable instructions before reuse.
Knowledge Check
Which comes first? Cleaning. Does every product have the same disinfection contact time? No. Does a label showing EPA registration automatically permit every use? No; the label must cover the intended use.
Thứ tự an toàn thông thường?
