Liquid acrylic products can release vapors, while filing and shaping generate particles. A table dust collector designed only for particles does not establish control of solvent vapors. Local exhaust and adequate room ventilation help reduce exposure when correctly designed and maintained. Consider the actual chemicals and operations rather than relying on smell alone.

Keep containers covered when not in active use, avoid unnecessary spills, consult SDS Sections 7 and 8 and choose gloves on chemical compatibility. An N95 particulate respirator does not filter organic solvent vapor. If respiratory protection is required at work, it calls for a hazard-based assessment and suitable protection; masks are not substitutes for appropriate ventilation.
